With many decades of excellence as an internationally-renowned personality expert, author, teacher, researcher, and transformational coach, Ms. Fauvre has earned distinction as the founder of Katherine Fauvre Consulting. Since 1972, she has focused her efforts on meeting with and educating her clients while engaging in research on personality types. Additionally, she founded Enneastyle in 1984 and began her qualitative research on the "internal experience" of the Enneagram personality types. She founded Katherine Fauvre Consulting in 1995, serving as a co-founder for Enneagram Explorations in 1996 and Fauvre Research in 2009. She is also the founder of Katherine Fauvre Enneagram Consulting, which she established in 2014.
Dedicated to civil advocacy, Ms. Fauvre has donated her expertise as a teacher and mentor to California county jails. She taught the Enneagram to those in the San Mateo County Jail in 1995, and later, she joined the Enneagram Prison Project in 2015 and taught the Enneagram to those at the Santa Clara County Jail and the San Mateo County Jail. She also volunteers her time for those who are unable to afford her services, providing her unique guidance and consulting at no cost out of her compassion for people and genuine drive to help others become confident and empowered in life.
Prior to her current role, Ms. Fauvre founded Reflections Unique in 1984, leveraging her expertise in personality systems, management skills, color consulting, and the fashion industry. Through this venture, she has worked with individuals and teams, combining personal empowerment, inner confidence, and the skillful art of selecting clothing and accessories that honor their innate coloring. With her extensive knowledge and experience, Ms. Fauvre guided clients on a transformative journey of self-discovery, helping them cultivate the self-awareness needed to have inner confidence, make informed decisions, and express their individuality and personal style both internally and externally, thus unlocking their full potential.
She became a personality expert for Veechi in 2011. During this time, she also was a personality expert with ReTargeter from 2009 until 2012 and YouCloud, in 2016. She subsequently lent her expertise as a co-founder of TrueSelf Inc. in 2017 for a year. Outside of her work in the Enneagram field, she worked in the cosmetic industry for over fifteen years, working with such renowned companies such as Merle Norman Cosmetics, Revlon, Clinique, Charles of the Ritz, and Lancôme. She also taught the Enneagram and was an executive coach for many teams at the Federal Reserve Bank for more than 13 years.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Fauvre has provided a wealth of written works to the Enneagram field and was featured five times in "Types: Your Personality Revealed TV Show." She was published and featured in The International Enneagram Association Journal in 2012 with her research on "Exploring Tritype®: In Theory and Practice" and contributed numerous articles to professional journals on the Enneagram throughout the United States, Europe, Australia, and Canada. Among other works, she authored "Enneastyle: The 9 Languages of Enneagram Types," and "Instinctual Subtypes" in 1995, "The Enneagram & Psychotherapy: The Core Motivations of Enneagram Personality Type" in 2003, "The 27 Tritypes® Revealed Discover Your Life Purpose and Blind Spot to Personal Growth" in 2010, her comprehensive online Enneagram Tritype Test in 2020, and currently "Enneagram Instinctual Types: Subtypes, Stereotypes, Countertypes, and Stackings" in 2023.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Fauvre was named Consultant of the Year while working with Lancôme in 1980 due to her remarkable expertise in multiple personality systems, conflict management, staff development, and creative problem-solving skills. Her contributions were particularly notable in envisioning, marketing, and executing custom, one-of-a-kind special events which combined her advanced skills in skincare, makeup artistry, and personality systems and the 'color theory' creating "Lancôme Looks for All Seasons."
She was on the Board of Directors of the International Image Council International which became the Association of Image Consultants International. She also was honored with The Wave Award for her TV show, and her firm Enneagram Explorations, was named one of the Best Businesses in Life Coaching by the Menlo Park City Council in 2015 based on her unique approach to coaching and leadership. She is proud to be the creator of Tritype, Tritype Archetypes, TriCenter, Trigram, Truetype, and the Instinctual Stacking Patterns and Tritype Stacking Patterns. She is also the only individual worldwide to have attended an intensive training course with both Oscar Ichazo; the creator of the Enneagram of Personality and Claudio Naranjo; the creator of Subtypes, the latter of whom validated her 1994-1995 research on the "Instinctual Subtypes in 1996."
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Fauvre completed coursework in psychology, and cultural anthropology at Orange Coast College in 1972. Following this accomplishment, she continued her studies in psychology at De Anza College in 1978 and did further coursework at Cañada College in 1986. Well-qualified in her field, she is an "IEA Enneagram Accredited Professional with Distinction" for bringing original work to the field and is the only triple-certified Enneagram teacher by the first authors of the Enneagram; Helen Palmer-David Daniels; The Narrative Tradition, and Don Riso-Russ Hudson; Enneagram Institute in 1995, and Kathleen Hurley-Ted Dobson; Breakthrough Enneagram in 1996, among other credentials in the profession. She was on the board of directors for the International Enneagram Association from 1997 to 1998.
Looking to the future, Ms. Fauvre intends to publish her next books, "The Definitive Enneagram: Types, Tritypes, Instincts, and Subtypes," "Enneagram Tritype Advantage: Strengths, Struggles and Superpowers" and "Enneagram Instinctual Types: Subtypes, Archetypes, Countertypes, and Stackings." Her goal is to introduce the original material that is included in her books and teach it to a broader audience while expanding her practice on the Enneagram Types, Tritypes, and Instinctual Subtypes, and a fuller dissemination of the Enneagram that includes key distinctions of the Enneagram types that were lost.
