While working the bulk of his career for Raytheon Technologies' Pratt & Whitney, he ascended roles as a Service Center Manager, Quality Engineer and Quality Manager – reporting to the General Manager, Deputy General Manager and Senior Director of Quality, respectively. During the early stages of his career, Dr. Gabrelcik gained valuable expertise in engineering with Jet Edge Waterjet Systems and RFA Engineering. The design changes and improvements he brought to Jet Edge earned him the attention of their best customer Pratt & Whitney.
In conjunction with his work, Dr. Gabrelcik is a proud high-energy single father of 4 children (first adoption in 2018) and contributes to his community. Contributions include serving as the Alumni Association President at AMU, adjunct teaching for graduates and undergraduates, liaison committee volunteer for The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), a Site Coordinator for United Way Worldwide, and serving on two boards for NISD. An expert in his field, he holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology from Southwest Minnesota State University. Similarly, he earned a Master of Science from The National Graduate School. Subsequently, Dr. Gabrelcik achieved the 2-step pinnacle of his professional knowledge earning a Doctorate of Business Administration in Quality Systems Management and completing a Postdoctoral Fellowship through the American Meridian University.
Driven to stay abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Gabrelcik aligns himself with the Society of Automotive Engineers, the American Society for Quality, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the Texas Board of Professional Engineers. In conjunction with his work, he also attends foster child classes, routinely donates blood and contributes to the Paralyzed Veterans of America and the United Way. In light of his professional accomplishments, he won the Engineering Manager's Award from Pratt & Whitney in 1999.
