Commencing the summer of 2023, she has found success as an Assistant Professor of Nursing at East Texas Baptist University, following employment as a nursing instructor at UWorld LLC, where she helped develop Next-Generation National Council Licensure Examination (NG-NCLEX) tutorials.
Ms. Arraf began her career as an operating room nurse at Alberta Health Services from 2000 until 2012 while contributing to the University of Calgary as an adjunct clinical nursing instructor between 2009 and 2013. Following this post, she garnered expertise as a post-anesthesia care nurse at the Clearpoint Health Network surgical center from 2013 to 2021 while concurrently working as an adjunct clinical instructor at Mount Royal University until 2021. In her career-related endeavors, Ms. Arraf has published such works as "Travel Nursing: A Guide to Passing the NCLEX-RN and Registering in the U.S." in the Canadian Nurse Journal in 2022, "Medical Missions Abroad: Shorter Commitment Times Made it Possible for RN Kelly Arraf" in Alberta RN Magazine in 2015, and "Using the Canadian Code of Ethics for Registered Nurses to Explore Ethics in Palliative Care Research," published in the International Journal of Nursing Ethics in 2004.
Before embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Arraf pursued an education at the University of Calgary, where she obtained a Bachelor of Nursing in 2000, followed by a Master of Nursing, specializing in acute and postoperative pain management, in 2003. Ms. Arraf is currently nearing completion of her Ph.D. coursework in Nursing Education Leadership from Liberty University and anticipates candidacy in December 2023. As a further commitment to her field, she holds certificates in post-anesthesia, perioperative nursing, and clinical simulation, in addition to the Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) designation from the National League for Nursing. Additionally, she has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the National League for Nursing, the American Nurses Association, and the Texas Nurses Association. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Arraf has volunteered as a medical mission nurse for Team Broken Earth, making several trips to Guatemala and Haiti.
