Mr. Helke formerly owned and operated Prestige Group Ltd from 1996 to 2021. Based in Troy, Ohio, it served as a permanent placement recruiting firm whose clients included multi-million-dollar health care systems and food industry companies. He also served as the vice president of recruiting at SKAP Inc. between 1996 and 2004 and as a marketer and recruiter from 1991 to 1995. During an earlier stage of his career, Mr. Helke was an investigator for the Miami County Children's Services Board in Ohio between 1989 and 1991, and an assistant general manager at Holiday Health Spa from 1985 to 1988.
Highly educated, Mr. Helke received a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, in 1988. He subsequently has garnered numerous credentials in his field with certifications as an Interscholastic Coach, Sports Psychology Coach (Ed), Biomechanics Specialist, Core Conditioning Specialist, Mental Guided Imagery and Applied Neuroscience & Brain Health. Mr. Helke also received certification through the American Red Cross in adult and child first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator.
In his industry, Mr. Helke is an active member of the American Baseball Coaches Association, the Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association, the National Federation of State High School Associations, and the International Society of Biomechanics and Sports. He is also a professional affiliate of the American Psychological Association's District 47, the Society for Sport, Exercise, and Performance Psychology.
