LOS ANGELES, CA, August 17, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Cozette Chattin Vergari, JD, has been inducted into Marquis Who's Who. Drawing on 27 years of expertise as an attorney, Ms. Vergari is distinguished both for her excellence in the legal field and for her leadership as president of the Westchester/Playa Historical Society. To her role with the historical society, Ms. Vergari brings a wealth of knowledge about trusts and estates from her legal career; since taking the helm of the organization, she has helped it incorporate as a nonprofit and accomplish an impressive number of activities and projects.
When Ms. Vergari first began her career, her path was in dance and the performing arts; however, an unfortunate car accident made it impossible for her to teach more advanced levels of dance and forced her to rethink her career. She decided to enter the legal field, a choice that led to her most recent role as a partner with Vergari & Napolitano, a law firm specializing in family issues and estate planning. Previously, she served as a partner with Vergari & Fu, LLP, and taught law at the University of West Los Angeles.
Ms. Vergari's performance in the field was born of her academic journey. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in dance and a lifetime secondary teaching credential from the University of Southern California, as well as a Juris Doctor from the University of West Los Angeles School of Law, where she received an Outstanding Graduate award. She is a member of the bar of the state of California and the United States District Federal Court for the Central District of California.
A volunteer within her local community, Ms. Vergari sits on the board of trustees of the Westchester Rotary Foundation and served as district governor for Rotary International District 5280. Additionally, she is active with the Selective Board for Los Angeles Region of Neighborhood Council Westchester/Playa, the LAX Coastal Area Chamber of Commerce, Airport Marina Counseling Service and 1736 Family Crisis Center. To commemorate her accomplishments in the community, she has been named Honorary Mayor of Westchester.
In considering the origins of her success story, Ms. Vergari points to the lessons taught to her by her hardworking parents, particularly the work ethic that her father instilled in her. As a girl, Ms. Vergari was taught that she could not play until all her work was done. Now that she is nearing the end of a highly successful career, however, she is ready to take on fewer responsibilities. In the coming years, she looks forward to spending more time with her seven grandchildren.
