Through her mental health organization, she offers a range of counseling services to clients as a dedicated individual and group therapy provider. Contracted with Atlanta Behavioral Care, Ms. Baird works alongside a psychiatrist providing care to patients diagnosed with a variety of mental health issues.
Garnering expertise in her industry for more than a decade, Ms. Baird was the director of specialty services for the Cobb and Douglas Counties Community Services Boards between 2018 and 2022 and as the director of specialty services at Highland Rivers Behavioral Health in Cobb County from 2018 to 2020. She also served as the clinical supervisor and program manager for the Assertive Community Treatment Team of the Cobb and Douglas Counties Community Services Boards. Moreover, Ms. Baird was a private practice licensed professional counselor between 2011 and 2014 and a licensed professional counselor at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center (Cobb County Sheriff's Office) from 2010 to 2014.
Some of Ms. Baird's professional accomplishments have included providing services for individuals and keeping them off the street, out of prison, and out of the hospital. Deriving a sense of satisfaction in her work, she is also grateful to the mental health community and those supporting mental health treatment to end the stigmas. Working with various organizations, including the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and progressive individuals open to learning about mental health differently, has been very empowering.
Looking toward the future, Ms. Baird is eager to continue helping others and growing her already established clientele. She is also working on her first book, "Establishing Wellness."
Invested in her community, Ms. Baird has been active with the Georgia Mental Health Consumer Network's peer program, NAMI of Cobb County, Georgia, and MUST Ministries Outreach.
To prepare for her career, Ms. Baird earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and criminology from Auburn University in 2003 and a Master of Science in professional counseling from Georgia State University in 2010. She also received credentials as a licensed professional counselor.
Ms. Baird is active in her professional community as a member of the Licensed Professional Counselors Association of Georgia Inc. and Psychology Today. In recognition of her accomplishments, she received an award from The Mental Health Court.
