As a thought leader and influencer, Ms. Maldonado has impacted over 3,000 participants in such areas as academia, corporate, and nonprofit. Capable of identifying and implementing solutions, while also delivering strategic planning and long-term plans, has been critical to her success. As a national speaker, facilitator, and moderator who has focused on inclusion, engagement, and personal and professional development, Ms. Maldonado has made huge impacts on individuals and groups. She has also developed a learning development series for clients to ultimately improve retention, reflection, and contribution, and has created experiential human-centered working labs for nonprofits and for-profits to drive strategy development and increase relevance and innovation.
Recognizing her success, Ms. Maldonado attributes much of it to being open to opportunities, maintaining humility, rising to the experience, leaning into fear, and having a growth mindset. Looking toward the future, she envisions continued success as a national speaker. She also aims to write a book for women experiencing transformational spaces within their life and how they can methodically continue to choose themselves.
Ms. Maldonado recently joined her alma mater in 2022, Alverno College, in Milwaukee, as a teaching faculty. She previously spent three months as the director for DEI global programs for Broadridge, a global fintech leader, in 2023. She was also a senior manager of diversity and inclusion for Kohl's Corporation from 2020 to 2023, a managing director for Principal Financial between 2019 and 2020, a consulting partner and principal at Pinpoint Solutions MKE from 2019 to 2020. Among numerous other noteworthy roles, Ms. Maldonado garnered experience in various roles at Northwestern Mutual, including a practice management consultant and people leader.
Ms. Maldonado has been involved in numerous civic and charitable causes. She has served as the co-chair of the Next Generation UPAF Council since 2010, a group of leaders that focus on the local performing arts community. She has also been involved with VISIT Milwaukee as a member of the board of directors and of the "Inclusion Diversity Equity and Access" advisory council since 2010 and as the director of the board of directors since 2022. Ms. Maldonado has also been a community volunteer and council member of the Diversity Leadership Society council for United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County, a Community Advisory Group member for the Milwaukee Art Museum, and in various other roles for the MobiliSE fka Regional Transit Leadership Council, the Alverno Board of Trustees, and the Milwaukee Parks Foundation. She also became a coalition of global advisors member of LifeHikes®, a global professional training company, in 2021.
Ms. Maldonado graduated from Greenfield High School in Greenfield, Wisconsin, in 2000. She subsequently studied at Alverno College, earning a bachelor's degree in business and management in 2009 and a Master of Business Administration in 2011. Additional educational pursuits to her credit include certification from Harvard Business School in its Young American Leaders Program, certification from Cornell University in diversity and inclusion for human resources, and certification from Prosci as a change management practitioner. Among other credentials, Ms. Maldonado holds life, health, Securities Industry Essentials, Series 7, Series 66, and Series 24 licensing from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority.
Affiliated with several relevant organizations, Ms. Maldonado has been active as a member of TEMPO and Professional Dimensions. She has also served as the president of Prospanica Milwaukee for 6 years.
Highlighting her achievements, Ms. Maldonado was recognized by Milwaukee Business Journal with a 40 Under 40 Award in 2018, was named among Wisconsin's Most Influential Latino Leaders by Madison365 in 2022, and, among other accolades, was a BizTimes Notable Black, Indigenous, and People of Color Executives Awardee in 2023.
