Backed by years of professional experience in education and as a guidance counselor, Ms. Greenberg presently excels as the founder and principal of Comprehensive College Consulting, working with teenagers and their families while advocating for quality counseling and education. Through her extensive network and her affiliation with the National Association for College Admission Counseling, she established a successful business that serves as an extension of her decades-long career in education. As the head of the company, Ms. Greenberg oversees a team of counselors and consultants and assists students and their families in navigating the complexities of the college application and planning processes.
During the early stages of her career, Ms. Greenberg gained valuable professional expertise as an English and Russian teacher. She then became a guidance counselor, served as a Guidance Administrator, and finally moved to the private sector, working as a Senior College specialist for Campusbound, a college counseling company in the Boston area. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, she maintains professional affiliations with the National and Western Associations for College Admission Counseling, The College Board's New England region and with her colleagues at Campusbound. In conjunction with her professional work, Ms. Greenberg also contributes to her community as a volunteer at her church, the Conejo Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
An expert in her field, Ms. Greenberg holds a Bachelor's degree in Russian language and literature from Boston University. Subsequently, she expanded upon her professional knowledge, earning a Master of Arts in teaching from Harvard Graduate School of Education in Russian and Education, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Community Mental Health Counseling from Northeastern University. Considering her outstanding body of work, Ms. Greenberg has been honored with numerous awards, including the New England Association's most prestigious honor: The Harry Carroll Award.
While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Greenberg is most proud to have served as the President of the New England Association for College Admission Counseling, a position which allowed her the opportunity to join ranks with the other state and regional presidents, working with Congress and other educational institutions to promote best practices in counseling. She is also honored to have raised wonderful children whose careers she has helped launch. The cornerstone of her success lays with her mother, Dr. Judith Greenberg, the best role model she has ever had, both professionally and personally. Looking ahead, Ms. Greenberg aims to continue her work with high schoolers as well as mentoring younger counselors.
