Ms. Aybar continued her career as a research specialist at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill between 2006 and 2014, while concurrently serving as a research investigator at Synereca Pharmaceuticals Inc. from 2011 until 2014. Following this post, she excelled as a laboratory operations and project manager at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Biomedical Engineering Center from 2014 to 2016. Between 2016 and 2022, Ms. Aybar contributed to various organizations in a variety of roles, including as a senior research associate of biological sciences at Ribon Therapeutics, a laboratory operations manager at Repertoire Immune Medicines, an associate director of laboratory operations at Scholar Rock Inc. and a director of facilities, laboratory operations, and environmental health and safety at Endolytix.
Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Aybar pursued an education at Karadeniz Technical University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. She continued her academic efforts at the Marmara University School of Pharmacy, earning a Master of Science in analytical chemistry in 2004. As a commitment to her field, she has been certified as a green lab ambassador, and licensed in project, facility planning and design management, and more. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Ms. Aybar contributes to the American Cancer Society, the American Turkish Association of North Carolina, Just-A-Start Corporation, Life Sciences Care, New England Care Wings Foundation, and Bridge of Turkey Foundation to name a few.
Among her professional accomplishments, Ms. Aybar is most proud to have been involved in the policies, procedures, and the establishment of several biotech companies, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Reflecting on her achievements, she attributes much of her success to her dedication, hard work, attention to detail, continuing education and support of her family. Ms. Aybar has three children: June (22), Sophia (20) and Egehan (16). They also have two dogs and two cats.
