Backed by her clinical experience as an emergency nurse, leadership experience, and her work and dedication in patient safety and risk management, Ronnie excels in this role. Prior to joining Coverys, Mrs. Hanson worked as the Director of Patient Safety and Risk Management for Portsmouth Regional Hospital in Portsmouth, NH.
During the early stages of her career, Mrs. Hanson gained valuable expertise in her field in her hometown at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital, in Dover, NH. Ronnie served in many roles there from a performance improvement and quality assistant, an emergency technician, registered nurse in several clinical areas, an Assistant Nurse Manager, and found her passion in risk management and patient safety – serving as a clinical risk coordinator. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, she aligns herself with membership to the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM), Northern New England Society for Healthcare Risk Management (NNESHRM) and serves as a Board Member for the Massachusetts Society for Healthcare Risk Management (MSHRM). Outside of her work, Mrs. Hanson dedicates herself to her community, co-founding Rayne Refillery, a low waste refill store that's mission is to reduce single use plastic by providing a space where customers can reuse and refill their containers with quality, eco-friendly products.
As an expert in her field, Mrs. Hanson holds an associate degree in criminal justice, and an associate degree in nursing. Subsequently, she expanded upon her professional knowledge by earning a bachelor's degree in nursing and a master's in healthcare administration. Ronnie also holds national certifications; Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS), and Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM). While her career has been filled with many highlights, she takes the most pride in simply helping. Helping to improve patient safety through risk mitigation and quality care.
