    TYRONE, GA, August 28, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Grant Delbert Venerable II, PhD, is a distinguished biographee of Marquis Who's Who. Dr. Venerable began his lengthy career as a chemistry lecturer at the California State University in Los Angeles and as a chemistry and biology instructor at the Duarte, California Unified School District (1971- 1972).

Dr. Venerable began his university teaching at the California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, as an associate professor of chemistry, followed by lecturer posts at the University of California, Santa Cruz (chemistry, 1972-1980) and San Francisco State University (cultural studies, 1989-1996). Between 1980 and 1989 he held various positions as a systems scientist in Silicon Valley industry. From 1996 to 2011 he served in academic vice presidencies at such institutions as, Lincoln University (PA), Chicago State University, and Morris Brown College in the Atlanta University Center. Dr. Venerable was also president and CEO of Ventek Software Inc. (1992 to 1999).

In his career-related endeavors, Dr. Venerable has authored such works as, "Footprints in the Chaotic Unknown: Art, Science, Oracles, Kinfolk" (2019), "Managing in a Five Dimension Economy" (1999), "The Paradox of the Silicon Savior" (1988), and "The Discovery of a Calculus of Transformations in Chemistry" (1974), to cite only a few. Moreover, he has been commissioned by research scientists, universities, and corporations for his molecular artworks, depicting the beauty of molecular structures, chemical reactions and scientific principles.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Venerable pursued his higher education at the University of California in Los Angeles, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 1965. He continued his academic training at The University of Chicago, earning a Master of Science (1967) and Ph.D. in physical chemistry (1970). Dr. Venerable completed his postdoctoral research on a fellowship from the United States Atomic Energy Commission at the Laboratory of Nuclear Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine (1971).

Dr. Venerable has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Chemical Society and the Alpha Chi Sigma fraternity. As a notable scientist of African American heritage, he has also been affiliated with the National Organization for Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Dr. Venerable served on the Boards of Directors of the California Alliance for Arts Education and CityQuest in Chicago, Illinois (1997-2002).

Well-regarded for his contributions to the field, Dr. Venerable has received multiple awards, including the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, the National Educational Leadership Award from the JGT Foundation of San Francisco, the Outstanding Achievement Award from the California Alliance for Arts Education, the Molecular Art Appreciation Award from the Alpha Chi Sigma fraternity and more. Additionally, he has been recognized as a Marquis Who's Who Top Professional, as well as a Marquis Who's Who Industry Leader, and featured in the Millennium Magazine and the Marquis Who's Who in the World publication. Among his professional accomplishments, he is most proud to have secured grants for the development of innovative approaches to teaching and to have significantly impacted the perspective of future scientists and engineers. Reflecting on his career, he attributes much of his success to his creative imagination, determination, foresight and persistence. Looking toward the future, Dr. Venerable hopes to cement his legacy, as well as the legacy of his family.
