Shortly after opening South Lake Charles Fit Body Boot Camp in 2019, Mr. Anderson endured numerous setbacks, including COVID-19, which caused him to close the building for two months.
His community also suffered two significant hurricanes back-to-back, resulting in over 40 days without electricity and flooding. Despite it all, Mr. Anderson persevered and looks forward to future success as he continually expands his fitness center's clientele. He also aims to hire someone to begin managing the business for him and is considering opening a second location.
Mr. Anderson formerly spent four decades in the paper mill industry from 1979 to 2018. Upon retirement, he began researching the Fit Body Boot Camp franchise, recognized as a member of the Inc. 5000 list as one of the fastest-growing companies in the U.S. After three months, he decided to move forward and opened his own location. Realizing the importance of good health later in life, Mr. Anderson was eager to help others in his community reach their fitness goals and become more active.
Mr. Anderson is a board member of Kiwanis, an international service organization that caters to serving children, fights disease, poverty, and more.
In light of his accomplishments, Mr. Anderson was recognized with a Southwest Louisiana People's Choice Award from the Health and Fitness Center. South Lake Charles Fit Body Boot Camp was also voted the Best Health & Fitness Center in SWLA by the People's Choice awards for the second year in a row. He credits his dedication and loyalty to the industry to his ongoing success.
