Beginning in 2020, he has provided consultations, strategy and vision development, strategic planning and implementation, and support to technology-based companies and major universities. Mr. Cho notably pursued entrepreneurship to transition his capabilities and better serve clients during a season of technological change in business and industry.
Having dedicated the first portion of his career to the Monsanto Company, an American diversified, multinational science and technology corporation with world headquarters located in St. Louis, MO, Mr. Cho excelled in various roles between 1981 and 1998. Garnering recognition in global business management, business development, technology development, sales, manufacturing, and engineering, he worked throughout the country, including in Nitro, WV; Springfield, MA; Westfield, NJ; and Saint Louis, MO. When the Chemicals business was spun off in 1997 as Solutia Inc (now Eastman Chemical), Mr. Cho continued as the worldwide business manager for various businesses until 2003. He later was the director of innovations at FLEXcon Company Inc. in Spencer, MA and then chief strategy officer at Archibus, Inc. an integrated software platform company in Boston, MA.
Civically minded, Mr. Cho was active in various churches, including as the chairperson and president, vice president, and council member for strategic planning at Saint John Church in Ellisville, MO. He also served on the Board of Regents and as a foundation director at Concordia University in Seward, NE. Mr. Cho has been a judge and mentor for start-ups in artificial intelligence, sustainability, health tech, and fintech with Mass Challenge in Boston since 2021.
Mr. Cho graduated from Tufts University in Medford, MA with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering in 1981. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst in 1989. Mr. Cho later completed several additional educational credentials, including from the MIT Professional Education and MIT Sloan School of Management in artificial intelligence and digital business strategies and the Yale School of Management in its accelerated management program in executive education.
To remain aware of corporate growth initiatives across different industries, Mr. Cho has served as a member, board member, vice president, and director of the Association for Corporate Growth in Saint Louis. Honoring his achievements, he received a Market Sustainability Award as the co-inventor on an issued patent, Master Sales Award, and five Achievement Awards in sales, manufacturing, and engineering from Monsanto Company. Mr. Cho attributes much of his success to his ability to analyze complex situations using conceptual analysis and data models to solve problems and provide a path forward.
