His goal is to use his expertise in solving real-world engineering problems to enhance sustainability and improve current clean energy technologies.
GOLDEN, CO, September 01, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pedram Bigdelou, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With more than a decade of excellence in computational fluid dynamics (CFD), Dr. Bigdelou has earned distinction as a modeling and simulation engineer with Carbon America, a startup that is developing carbon capture technologies to mitigate climate change and global warming. Since 2022, he has focused his efforts on collaborating with test engineers to design, build, and optimize carbon capture equipment by simulating carbon capture processes through numerical modeling of fluid-heat-mass transfer in such equipment. Additionally, he is a valued member of the American Physical Society's Division of Fluid Dynamics (APS DFD).
Before starting his present role, Dr. Bigdelou began his career as a research assistant for the University of Tehran in 2011 and was a teaching assistant and research assistant for the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2015 – 2020. He was admitted as a research fellow at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2020 and took a role as a post-doctoral research fellow for the Colorado School of Mines later that year where he optimized water desalination systems via simulation of saline-membrane interactions.
To prepare for his career as a modeling and simulation engineer, Dr. Bigdelou earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Tabriz in Iran in 2011. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Science in renewable energy engineering from the University of Tehran in 2014 and gained a Doctor of Philosophy in mechanical engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2020.
Looking to the future, Dr. Bigdelou intends to grow in his career while keeping apprised of innovations in the field. He is particularly focused on the developments in computerized means and artificial intelligence and is learning the techniques and methodologies emerging from the fields to become a better modeling and simulation engineer. His goal is to use his expertise in solving real-world engineering problems to enhance sustainability and improve current clean energy technologies. He intends to target his knowledge on addressing environmental issues such as local and global water shortages, climate change, and global warming.
