Who is Kuren Patel?
Currently, he is a Systems Engineer and the Founding Designer of SilverWarp LLC. With more than a decade of excellence in systems engineering and mechatronics, Mr. Patel has recently earned the distinction of Senior Principal Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman. His current focus is on developing Space Systems, utilizing a strong background in hypersonic propulsion systems, rapid prototyping, and vehicle design.
In 2022, Kuren founded SilverWarp LLC, a MotoE manufacturing company specializing in crafting next-generation fully electric race-ready motorcycles. He is also an active member of the Space Generation Advisory Council and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, as well as an Advisor to the young international professional group called Conex Research.
Before his current position, Mr. Patel began his career as an information technician for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2011 while completing his engineering degrees. During this period, he served as a senior designer for the SAE Formula Hybrid Team in 2013, gaining international recognition. He then took on the role of lead intern for a startup called The Tech Toybox in 2015. Afterward, he worked as a freelance design engineer for a year until joining the startup SolveCity in 2017 as a Managing Director. He then transitioned to the startup FrontLane LLC as a Mechatronics & Supply Chain Engineer. Additionally, he worked in multiple capacities as a Founder & Design Engineer for rLoop Incorporated, Kraytos 3D, and TouchLight Innovations.
In 2019, he graduated with a master's degree from the International Space University in Strasbourg, France, and became a research scholar at NASA Ames Research Center. In the same year, he worked as a Research and Development Engineer for Arrivo - The Arrival Company. Soon after, he took on a role as a systems engineer focused on AEGIS Missile Defense "Threats" for Lockheed Martin in 2022. The following year, he functioned as a Spacecraft System Engineer III for Sierra Space until starting his current role with Northrop Grumman as a Senior Principal Systems Engineer & Architect.
Among his professional accomplishments, Mr. Patel won third place for a Hybrid Award from the Society of Automotive Engineers and IEEE. He also won second place for a Chrysler Design Award and for Integrated Hybrid Systems from General Motors. He received a Design Award from 48hr BuildEarthLiveDubai in 2016 and an Innovation Award from SpaceX for the Hyperloop Competition in 2017. He is also a co-creator of rLoop, a real-life hyperloop pod functioning as a fifth mode of transportation and hyper-vessel. Throughout his scientific pursuits, Mr. Patel has been published in reputable scientific journals and has been a distinguished presenter at multiple space conferences.
While advancing his professional journey, Mr. Patel earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in 2014. Following this achievement, he attained a master's degree in aerospace, aeronautical, and astronautical space engineering from the International Space University in 2019.
As Mr. Patel looks to the future, he aims to have SilverWarp LLC fully operational, with several motorcycles currently in the prototype phase. Team riders from the MotoE industry will race them upon completion to determine their performance compared to existing models.
