Karen began her real estate career with local builder, Concord Homes LLC, in a strategic marketing role. She progressed into consulting positions with national and local builders, Lennar, Kimball Hill Homes, and Lexington Homes, as well as providing consulting services for MetroStudy, supplying marketing information to the home construction industry. Soon after, she leveraged her extensive skill set in value, trend analysis, and strategic positioning to successfully pivot into residential real estate.
Civically active, Ms. McCabe supports several charities including those Coldwell Banker Realty supports like the Ronald McDonald House, as well as charities that have started locally like Shelter Academy of Light, a nonprofit organization that provides education for young women in Uganda and City on the Hill, which offers training programs for at-risk youth and food relief programs. She also supports local schools, having recently sponsored a movie night for an area elementary school and even sponsored a block party in her own neighborhood.
A graduate of the University of Iowa, Ms. McCabe earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies with an emphasis in marketing in 1993. Well-qualified in her industry, she holds credentials as a licensed Managing Broker through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and designation as a Certified Negotiations Consultant through the Illinois Association of Realtors. Ms. McCabe remains relevant in her industry as a member of the National Association of Realtors and the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.
