Leveraging more than four decades of excellence in radiotherapy and other cancer treatments, Dr. Amornmarn has earned distinction as the vice president of the Osceola Cancer Center. Since 2006, she has focused her efforts on improving the treatment of patients with cancer through intensity-modulated radiation therapy. Additionally, she has been the president of Artesan, LLC since 2010. She is also a valued member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, the American College of Radiology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, among other professional medical associations.
Before her present role, Dr. Amornmarn began her career as a consultant with Baltimore City Hospital in 1976 and became a staff member for the East Orange VA Medical Center in 1977. She continued her career as an assistant professor of radiology for New Jersey Medical School in 1978 and became an assistant professor of radiation oncology for the University of Maryland Medical Center in 1981. Following this period, she served as a staff physician, associate professor of radiation oncology at the University of Florida Health Science Center Jacksonville in 1983. Throughout her career, she has authored numerous presentations and has contributed more than 25 articles to professional journals.
To prepare for her medical career, Dr. Amornmarn earned a Faculty of Science from Chulalongkorn University in Bangkok in 1967 and a Doctor of Medicine from Mahidol University in 1971. She then underwent a rotating internship at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok in 1972. After immigrating to the United States later that year, she completed an internship at the VA Hospital in 1973. She subsequently underwent a residency in therapeutic radiology as well as a fellowship in radiology and oncology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1977. Eminently qualified in her field, she is certified by the American Board of Radiology.
Within the coming years, Dr. Amornmarn intends to continue her work while finding more improvements in medical care to better serve her patients. Her ultimate goal is to save patients' lives and help them to return to their everyday activities.
