ALBURQUERQUE, NM, September 13, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Elisabeth Anne Millich, Esq., has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Ms. Millich is an attorney skilled in trust and estate litigation, business law litigation, estate and trust administration, legal research and writing, and estate planning. Her career in law, and her initial inspiration to pursue it, rose from the encouragement and career paths of those around her. Both her mother and father, stepmother and stepfather, and two of her three sisters are all lawyers, which sparked her interest in law. After attending the University of California, Davis, studying religion from 1989 to 1993, she attended San Francisco State University, and completed a bachelor's degree in history in 1997. From there, she went on to attend Santa Clara Law at Santa Clara University, receiving a Juris Doctor in 2000 before earning a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in estate planning from the University of Miami School of Law in 2001, a pursuit which she credits, in part, to the encouragement of her wills and trust professor.
Following her education, Ms. Millich went on to work as an attorney under Elisabeth A. Millich, P.A., from 2001 to 2009 in Miami, Florida. During the latter part of those years, from 2007 to 2009, she also served as an attorney at De Armas, Millich, & Rice, PL. Following her time there, Ms. Millich joined Hurley, Toevs, Styles, Hamblin and Panter, P.A. as an attorney from 2010 to 2012 before working in the trust office of New Mexico Bank & Trust, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, from 2012 to 2013. The following year, she used her skills at the Law Offices of Kenneth C. Leach & Associates, P.C., where she stayed until 2014. While working at the aforementioned law office, Ms. Millich served as treasurer at the New Mexico Guardianship Association from 2013 to 2014. Prior to taking on that role, she became a board member in 2012, a position she still holds.
From 2014 to 2017, Ms. Millich returned to Hurley, Toevs, Styles, Hamblin and Panter, P.A., an AV-rated firm, to focus on trust and estate litigation, contested guardianships and conservatorships, probate, and estate planning, during which time she earned the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Peer Review, an award that has been recognizing lawyers for their legal ability and ethical standards for over 100 years. Ms. Millich subsequently revisited a career at the New Mexico Bank & Trust, fulfilling new roles and taking on more responsibilities in 2017. She became the assistant vice president to the wealth advisor, and then, in 2018, she was appointed as the vice president in the wealth advisor sector; today, she still carries out the commitments and tasks required of both positions.
Starting in 2019, Ms. Millich began practicing at Sheehan & Sheehan, P.A., as an attorney, where she still resides, and further expanded her law practice, opening Millich Law, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Over the course of her career, she has obtained and retained membership with the New Mexico Trial Lawyers Association and the New Mexico Chapter of the Federal Bar Association, a membership she has held since 2013. For more than 10 years, she has been a member of the New Mexico Women's Bar Association as well as the Albuquerque Bar Association and the State Bar of New Mexico—including the Real Property, Trust & Estate Section—for over a decade. Likewise, since 2001, Ms. Millich has held her membership with The Florida Bar.
Throughout her education and career, Ms. Millich's drive, ambition, and genuine interest in the law have carried her throughout her many years in her professional journey. From her experience litigating probates with a good friend of hers to her time spent estate and business planning and litigating estates, trust, guardianships, and conservatorships, Ms. Millich is honored to represent and serve individuals. In the next five to 10 years, she wants to devote time not only to her clients but to her own creative pursuits. She hopes to complete the novel she has been working on—a vampire book, in the fantasy genre—and aims to publish it by the end of 2024. Moreover, she wants to prioritize the joys of life and leisure, including time spent traveling to Europe, as she has dual citizenship in the European Union.
