Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, she aligns herself with Phi Delta Kappa and Kappa Delta Pi. An expert in her field, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in elementary education from Upper Iowa University and a Master of Science in elementary administration from Drake University. Subsequently, Ms. Nielsen became an education specialist through Drake University.
