Similarly, he honed his expertise in administration, network, and office management, and accounts receivable through UC Berkeley, Sundberg, Martinelli, Novy & Ward CPA, Blue Shield of California, Design Within Reach, Delta Dental Plan California, and the New Haven Unified School District. Outside of his work, Mr. Patiño contributes to his community with the League of California Cities Board of Directors, the Hispanic Elected Local Officials, the National League of Cities' Community & Economic Development Committee, and East Bay Community Energy.
An expert in his field, Mr. Patiño holds an Associate of Arts in the administration of justice and business administration from Chabot College and a bachelor's degree in political science from California State University, East Bay, where he later received an MBA in management. Subsequently, Mr. Patiño expanded upon his professional knowledge, earning a certification in hazard preparedness through Texas A&M University and a certificate in human resources and project management from California State University, East Bay.
Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Mr. Patiño aligns himself with the Latino Caucus and the National Association of Latino Elected Officials.
