Drawing on over three decades of diverse expertise, Mr. Wilson specializes in environmental engineering. Since 2017, he has found much success as an environmental engineer for the United States Navy. In this capacity, he manages the clean air, drinking, storm, tank, hazardous waste, and wastewater programs in the Navy. Additionally, he is responsible for the facility response plan, and the spill prevention control and countermeasures, among other duties. Prior to this role, Mr. Wilson excelled as an environmental coordinator and project manager at Integrated Science Solutions from 2007 until 2017.
Mr. Wilson initially began his career serving in the United States Army as a fire support specialist from 1989 to 1999. Following this post, he was active as an outside plant technician at AT&T. Between 2003 and 2007, he garnered expertise as an environmental field supervisor at American Environmental Services Inc. Mr. Wilson also contributed to CH2M Hill/VT Griffin Joint Venture in a similar capacity.
While embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Wilson pursued an education at Troy University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice in 2008. He continued his academic efforts at Columbia Southern University, earning a Master of Science in occupational safety and health in 2012. As a commitment to his field, he has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the American Society of Professional Engineers. Likewise dedicated to civic advocacy, Mr. Wilson contributes to various charities and local toy drives in his community.
Well-regarded for his contributions to the field, Mr. Wilson has received numerous awards from the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command of Southeast throughout his years of service. Among his professional accomplishments, he is most proud to be working for the United States Navy, where he is able to give others an opportunity to tap into their strength, achieve growth, and enhance their career. Reflecting on his career, he attributes much of his success to his parents, especially his father, who instilled in him the importance of hard work, dedication and punctuality. Looking toward the future, Mr. Wilson aspires to continually advance in his specialty, and hopes to retire early and travel more.
