She attributes her comprehensive success thus far to her father's example and mentorship (he was a strong industry professional, running French Haute Couture subsidiaries) regarding trends and fashion design, which motivate Ms. de Kay to consistently pursue unique challenges and realize outstanding outcomes. When she was a little girl she had been enthusiastically attracted to the fashion/textile business and products. One of her excitements had been to go with her father on a garment "journey", i.e. trips to the brick and mortar textile/clothing manufacturing factories, and prestigious international trade shows/fairs.
One of her earliest ambitions was to become a famous Hollywood actress and star. Among others, some of her design collections were inspired by the world of cinema.
Ms. de Kay has successfully forged an international presence through diverse appointments abroad, including as a French-speaking marketing assistant with Turner New Zealand between 1998 and 1999. She had collaborated as a luxury consultant with a Canadian fashion design company for jewelry and accessories. Furthermore, since 2002, Ms. de Kay has enjoyed giving back to the global community as a childcare volunteer and by making meaningful contributions to broadly conceived creative projects for various charitable organizations in France and Germany.
