A talented professional with more than two decades of excellence in acting, directing, life coaching and teaching theater, Mr. Marzolf has earned distinction as the head of undergraduate recruitment and performance as well as a teaching assistant professor of theatre for the University of Arkansas. In this capacity, he has focused his efforts on teaching classes each semester, providing service to the university and department, and recruiting students from around the country. Additionally, he is a certified energy reader and healer with InVision of Chicago and a certified health and life coach with the Health Coach Institute.
Before his current role, Mr. Marzolf began his career as an acting apprentice with the Milwaukee Repertory Theater in 2003. He has worked professionally since 2004, acting and directing for some of the most prestigious theaters in the country (The Old Globe Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Chicago Shakespeare Theater, La Jolla Playhouse, Theatresquared, Riverside Theatre, Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre, Notre Dame Summer Shakespeare, and Stella Adler Studio of Acting, among many others). He was also a part of the original production of the Pulitzer Prize winning play August: Osage County with Steppenwolf Theatre. He became a visiting assistant professor of theatre at the University of Tulsa in 2012. He was promoted to an assistant professor of theatre in 2013. He then took a teaching position with the University of Arkansas in 2015 and subsequently served as an instructor of theatre for the university and now is the Head of Undergraduate Performance. He has taught acting classes and workshops nationwide and Acting Shakespeare's Folio across the country with professional companies as well as numerous universities. In addition, his work has been published in the Folger's Shakespeare Library's online publication: Shakespeare and Beyond.
To prepare for his artistic career, Mr. Marzolf earned a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 2003. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from The Old Globe/University of San Diego in 2010.
Within the coming years, Mr. Marzolf intends to continue teaching at the University of Arkansas. He strives to make a positive impact on those around him, serving others through his multitalented work as an educator, actor, and director. He is also a valued member of the Actors' Equity Association and the Screen Actors Guild-American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
