Mr. Lepkowski leads a diverse and rewarding career that began when he enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2004 and has since been promoted to gunnery sergeant. After deployment to Afghanistan, he began working at a local comic book store. Shortly thereafter, Mr. Lepkowski met his future business partner, Daniel R. Harper, and the two eventually established their own business, Merrymac Games and Comics, in New Hampshire, in 2013.
Apart from managing his storefront, Mr. Lepkowski graduated from college and became a nuclear engineer at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in Kittery, Maine, from 2016 to 2022. Today, he serves as a network engineer for BEI Networks, a locally-owned and -operated network consulting firm and network integrator in Bedford, New Hampshire. Accepting the position in 2022, Mr. Lepkowski is responsible for one-site assessment, deployment, and support of client networks. Additionally, he has found success in entrepreneurship as an investment property owner at HOC Properties LLC in Merrimack, New Hampshire since 2022.
Mr. Lepkowski continues to serve in the reserves and will celebrate 20 years of service in 2023. He derives a strong sense of accomplishment from his tenure in military service. Looking toward the future, Mr. Lepkowski anticipates acquiring a piece of property and relocating his comic book store to a permanent location.
Actively involved in his community, Mr. Lepkowski has been the co-founder and board chair of a nonprofit charitable organization focusing on veterans, camaraderie, and community service since 2020.
Mr. Lepkowski graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, magna cum laude. During his college years, he completed a nuclear engineering internship at NextEra Energy Inc. at Seabrook Station in 2008. Mr. Lepkowski subsequently completed coursework toward a master's degree. He was recognized by Alpha Nu Sigma.
To remain aware of developments in his field, Mr. Lepkowski is a member of the Project Management Institute, the American Chemical Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Nuclear Society, and the Order of the Engineer.
Mr. Lepkowski's business was recognized as the Second-Best Comic Book Shop in New England. For his time in the military, he was decorated with two U.S. Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, a Navy Unit Commendation, and a Presidential Unit Citation. Mr. Lepkowski attributes his success to a combination of hard work and maximizing the skill sets of his employees.
