Due to her vast breadth of life experience, Dr. Vogt Turner has contributed her knowledge and life lessons to several publications, including "The Ecumenical Affair," "The Woman with the Alabaster Jar: The Forgiven Sinner," "Mary Magdalene: Her image and relationship to Jesus" and numerous editions of "Ecological Theology and Environmental Ethics." As a young mother and homemaker with only a high school education, Dr. Vogt Turner traveled to Nicaragua. There she witnessed extreme poverty and political turmoil in the Sandinista government post-insurrection. In 1991 she travelled to Canberra for the 7th Assembly of the World Council of Churches during the Gulf War. Inspired to help those who can't help themselves, she enrolled in college to study human systems, culture, and socioeconomics.
An expert in her field, Dr. Vogt Turner holds a Master of Arts in liberal studies from Simon Fraser University and a Doctor of Humane Arts in written communication from Intercontinental Open University. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in writing her book, "The Ecumenical Affair" and her Master of Arts thesis project, "Mary Magdalene: Her image and relationship to Jesus." Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her faith and the support of family, friends, her late husband, and her recent fiancé.
