He helps keep each project as close to budget as possible while maximizing benefits from any tax incentive programs, as well as overseeing accounts payable and payroll. He most recently worked on several projects fraught with production challenges and initial budgets that were insufficient to meet those demands. Thanks to stellar efforts, he and his team were able to bring both shows in on budget.
Mr. Born worked as a production controller for ProdCo Inc. in 2008 and was a production accountant for NBCUniversal Media, LLC in 2012. He subsequently served in a similar capacity for Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. in 2016 and again for NBCUniversal Media, LLC in 2018. He is also a skilled writer, having worked on "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers," "Power Rangers Zeo" and "Power Rangers Turbo." Furthermore, he was hired to write a historical fiction script based on a true story involving Lee Harvey Oswald. In addition, he produced the documentary "13 Families," which updated the audience on the families of the victims who died in the Columbine murders.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Mr. Born earned two Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Radio-Television from Texas Tech University in 1992. Within the coming years, he intends to produce independent horror films and is exploring options for financing.
