As a certified Mediator and certified Guardian Ad Litem, she is frequently appointed by the court to mediate family law disputes. Apart from her focus on family law, Ms. Hussmann Rogers manages estate, real estate, and other legal matters and oversees criminal cases, which are handled by an associate attorney within her firm.
Ms. Hussmann Rogers began her career in 2000 as an Assistant State Attorney in Vermilion County. She was a Prosecutor in Juvenile Division and Misdemeanor Division. Pivoting into private practice to pursue her passion for juvenile law, she began working for another attorney as an associate in 2003. Ms. Hussmann Rogers also served as a partner at Lietz & Hussmann Rogers LLP Attorneys at Law.
Civically invested, Ms. Hussmann Rogers has been affiliated with several nonprofit organizations, including the United Way Foundation as a board member and Downtown Danville Inc., a local, government-funded board dedicated to enhancing the area, as a member of its executive board. She has also served on the executive committee and as the vice president for the Survivor Resource Center (formerly the Rape Crisis Center), as a board member for Court Appointed Special Advocate for the juvenile court, and in volunteer roles for two other organizations that provide equine therapy and other services. Perhaps, most notably, Ms. Hussmann Rogers and her husband were foster parents for more than 15 years. They are preparing to adopt their third child.
Ms. Hussmann Rogers graduated from Bradley University in 1995, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Public Relations. She also received a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the John Marshall School of Law in 2000. Ms. Hussmann Rogers obtained a license to practice law and credentials as a certified mediator and certified Guardian Ad Litem.
