Dr. Sintich was honored with a President's Award in the Hall of Fame by the Warren County Freeholders in 2018.
HANCOCK, NY, October 04, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Robert A. Sintich has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
With more than four decades of excellence in education, Dr. Sintich has earned distinction as a professor emeritus with Warren County Community College. Since 2018, he has focused his efforts on conducting research of the effects women receiving more advanced degrees then men have on American society, particularly in the areas of medicine, law, business and the military. He also taught courses in history and social sciences at the college. He also led the creation of the college's nursing, automotive and food and beverage programs, breaking a 22-year hiatus of the school having no nursing program.
Also dedicated to civil advocacy, Dr. Sintich served as President of the Phillipsburg Rotary and was vice president of the New Jersey School Board. He was also a commissioner and public member for the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission. He is presently a commissioner and public member of the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) and serves as a board director for Hancock New York Partners. He also led the creation of Warren County's Veterans In Pursuit of Educational Readiness program (VIPER) for veterans. The VIPER program assists veterans in their pursuit of educational degrees by transferring credits based on their military service.
Prior to his military service, Dr. Sintich underwent a congressional internship with Congressman William F. Ryan of New York. Following this time, Dr. Sintich served honorably reaching the rank of Captain in The United States Army Medical Service Corps. Dr. Sintich began his private career in education as a counselor and administrator at Elizabeth General Medical Center School of Nursing. He became a Clinical Assistant Professor at Union County College which was affiliated with The EGMC School of Nursing. He then went on to Warren County Community College (WCCC) where he was appointed Dean of Students, Dean of Academic Affairs and Chief Academic Officer and later becoming Provost of the College. During his tenure at WCCC, Dr Sintich also chaired the English, Mathematics, History, Psychology Science and Sociology departments, while being a full professor from 2005 to 2019 Among his professional accomplishments, Dr. Sintich was honored with a President's Award in the Hall of Fame by the Warren County Freeholders in 2018.
Prior to embarking on his professional journey, Dr. Sintich earned a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling, both from the University of Scranton. Following these achievements, he attained a Doctor of Education in higher education from Rutgers University. Additionally, he gained a private pilot license from the Federal Aviation Administration in 1989. Looking to the future, Dr. Sintich intends to complete his term with the Nursing Accreditation Board and contribute his expertise to the healthcare needs of his community.
