Since 2019, Phillip Smith has excelled as a correctional corporal for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services. In his respected position, he works directly with sex offenders who are inmates in the prison system and is responsible for their wellness until they leave the facility. Prior to his current role, Mr. Smith served as a sergeant for the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, as well as a crisis intervention suicide prevention counselor for the County of Alameda in California. He also served for two decades as a correctional corporal for the San Quentin State Prison in San Quentin, California.
