Backed by a wealth of professional experience and continued education in commercial real estate and investing, Mr. Palma has family roots which planted him in his chosen industry. He graduated from the University at Albany with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Business in 1975. After working for ten years in New York City and Dallas, Texas as a representative for Swank Inc., a major men's and woman's accessory company, he started a new career in commercial real estate in northern California in 1985. Subsequently, Mr. Palma completed coursework and with his work experience, he received his CCIM designation from the Commercial Investment Real Estate Institute.
In his early years in commercial real estate, he worked as a sales associate at Keegan & Coppin Co. Inc. from 1985 to 1998 where he was recognized as one of the top producers of the company and represented the top profile office parks, and managed some of the larger leasing transactions.
In 1985 he opened Orion Partners Ltd's Sonoma County office where he flourished as a principal and was a member of the executive committee. Notably, Mr. Palma was recognized as a top producing agent and has accrued numerous top salesman awards.

His primary focus is representing investors and property owners in the disposition and purchasing of commercial real estate as well as corporate real estate leasing.
Mr. Palma's career trajectory was inspired by his grandfather who worked on high end estate restoration and construction projects in Manhattan. He would occasionally invite Mr. Palma to accompany him to work, and Mr. Palma became intrigued by commercial real estate and investing soon thereafter. He realized that with his undergraduate degree, real estate was within his reach.
Outside of his immediate responsibilities, he has been a member of the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) Junior Achievement and numerous athletic teams for his children. Mr. Palma has previously participated on the board of directors for SOCO Nexus, the Santa Rosa Golf & Country Club, Northbay IHUB and Orion Partners Ltd.
Mr. Palma attributes his success to his strong ethical background, hard work and the good reputation he has established for himself. Continuing his real estate education has also helped him offer better service and analysis to his clients than some of his competitors. Looking toward the future, Mr. Palma hopes to be more active as a consultant, helping assist his clients in negotiations, purchasing, sales and analysis of how to improve their real estate investments.
