Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in drilling/completion engineering, Mr. Kenda has earned distinction as a consulting deep-water drilling and completion engineer, superintendent, manager and owner of GeoDynamics Engineering, LLC. Since 2000, he has focused his efforts on in the offshore market for different offshore oil and gas operators. Additionally, he is a long-term member of the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, the American Association of Drilling Engineers and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Kenda worked as a directional driller, drilling and completion foreman, superintendent and drilling & completions manager until taking a role as a drilling and production engineering manager for Santa Fe Energy in 1996. Over the course of his career, he has also published papers featured by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC).
He earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University in 1982. He is proud to have become an independent business owner, allowing him to work on outstanding projects in the offshore petroleum industry. He was involved in the development of dry tree riser systems for floating production facilities and in numerous subsea deepwater drilling and completion activities worldwide. Notably, he was instrumental in the development of the Holstien Spar dry tree and Holstein Deep subsea developments.
