As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A highly skilled engineer with years of experience in the field, Mr. Budzynski presently serves as Founder of IT/OT Systems. In this capacity, he consults on and manages projects to assist entities with the convergence of the operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) domains. Prior to beginning this company, Greg gained expertise in electrical and control system design, automation logic programming, application virtualization, industrial communication network topology, and more as a Controls Engineer for Intelligrated, a Control Specialist II for Coca-Cola Refreshments, and a Senior Controls Engineer for Metro Water Recovery.
Mr. Budzynski graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Missouri University of Science and Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a minor in Mathematics. During his time there he also completed two separate student cooperative education opportunities with Anheuser-Busch which focused on automation, solidifying his interest in the field. Driven to keep current with the latest technologies and leading practices, he maintains membership with the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Water Environment Federation (WEF), and the International Water Association (IWA). Greg credits his growth and development to several long-term mentors from whom he gained a great amount knowledge and training, as well as an understanding of the value of time spent working with the installation, maintenance, and operational support personnel to ensure collaboration across departments.
Among project successes and other career highlights, Mr. Budzynski takes most pride in his work on improvements within industrial Ethernet communication network architectures and his pending patent for general algorithmic control (GAC), which leverages a combination of the established proportional- integral-derivative (PID) algorithm with feedback linearization of historical data. By pursuing an understanding of all the various components that are part of OT environments, along with advancements in the IT domain, he is able to leverage distinct technology solutions to construct system designs that are more reliable and resilient. In the coming years, Greg aims to contribute by advocating for standardized industrial programming methods and to continue exploring applications of the latest in technology advancements within operational spaces to improve system reliability, work process efficiency, cybersecurity posture and process optimization practices.
