In the next five to 10 years, he has his sights set on continuing to climb the corporate ladder to become a vice president of a company in the artificial-intelligence (AI) sector.
TULSA, OK, October 10, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Gideon T. Takor, MBA, has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
After earning a Bachelor of Science in geology from the University of Buea in Cameroon in 2008, Mr. Takor worked as a seismic processing geophysicist at GeoKinetics for two years before becoming a seismic quality control consultant and geographic information systems (GIS) specialist for CNPC USA, a position he held until 2012. He then moved to Weatherford, where he stayed on for four years, first working as a wireline field engineer and eventually a field specialist in the division of data acquisition.
Following the application of his geology degree for the first eight years of his career, Mr. Takor immigrated to the United States in 2016 and attended New Mexico Highlands University to further his education. While pursuing a Master of Business Administration, which he earned in 2018, Mr. Takor also served as a mentor through the university-sponsored after-school STEM outreach program, through which he developed curriculum and organized workshops for K-12 students. Additionally, he devoted his time to other civic outreach, including organizations like The Salvation Army USA.
Soon after obtaining his master's degree, Mr. Takor attended the Collins College of Business at The University of Tulsa, where he received a Master of Science in Business Analytics. Following the acquisition of two master's degrees, he served as a business data analyst for Sana Pharmacy Compounding Center and a quantitative analyst for Meridian Pharmacy Group. While starting his first position after receiving his second master's degree, Mr. Takor also applied his knowledge as a technical writer and editor for DataScienceHub, a position he still holds today. Alongside his editing and writing, he became a lead business system analyst at Universal Medical Records Information Network Corp., a position he also still holds.
As a result of his expertise and line of work in geology and business, Mr. Takor holds membership with the Association of Data Scientists, the International Society for Data Science and Analytics (ISDSA), and the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAGP). In all he has pursued and accomplished, he attributes his success to the support of his wife and to his late father, who advised and encouraged him to be dedicated and stay focused. Despite challenges during his years of education, Mr. Takor persisted—living by the motto "Discipline is the bridge between your goals and dreams" —and earned his degrees, which has granted him access and given him opportunities to excel and use his skill set to his fullest. In the next five to 10 years, he has his sights set on continuing to climb the corporate ladder to become a vice president of a company in the artificial-intelligence (AI) sector, where he can continue to apply his expertise in data analysis and mining, AI and machine learning, and data management.
