Prior to starting his private career, Mr. Guidry served honorably in the United States Army as a Special Forces Green Beret as a Chief Warrant Officer. He began his service as an enlisted infantryman in 1990 and was promoted to Command Chief Warrant Officer for the First Special Warfare Training Group (Airborne) in 2020. In this capacity, he led an organization accountable for the foundational training of all of the US Army's Special Forces, Psychological Operations and Civil Affairs soldiers. This included evaluating, assessing, selecting and initiating the training process for these specialized soldiers. While developing his professional journey, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts with a focus on management and administration from Excelsior University in 2018.
In recognition of his dedicated service in various missions in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as Central and South America, Mr. Guidry received multiple service and achievement medals to include Army and joint achievement medals, commendation medals, valorous medal, meritorious service medals, the Purple Heart medal, several Bronze Star medals and a Legion of Merit. He is also a valued member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, the Special Forces Association, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, the Knights of Columbus, and the Texas Christmas Tree Growers Association. Accounting for his success, he credits the support of his family and friends and maintaining a positive attitude. Looking to the future, Mr. Guidry intends to finalize the development of his Christmas tree farm to initiate revenue generation from it as he seeks to further define his next professional objectives.
