Mr. Chapa is the chairman of the board of Friends in Service of Heroes, or FISH.
OLATHE, KS, October 11, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- F. Paul Chapa has been included in Marquis Who's Who. As in all Marquis Who's Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Mr. Chapa is the chairman of the board of Friends in Service of Heroes, or FISH. The organization, originally branded Food Industry Serving Heroes, was founded in 2011 then renamed and introduced as a 501(c)(3) in 2013. Its mission is to engage citizens of the United States to honor the men and women who have sacrificed to guarantee the nation's freedoms, and Mr. Chapa remains committed to encouraging an attitude of reverence and respect for the country's heroes.
After the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States, Mr. Chapa recognized the repercussions that deeply impacted the nation, disrupting families and friend circles as well as businesses. He activated a motivation to deploy his grocery and publishing industry connections to provide meals to servicemembers, veterans and first responders, then soon expanded to provide service dogs and mobility chairs, ultimately enhancing these heroes' quality of life.
Notably, Mr. Chapa relied on distinct professional experience gained through appointments as the sales manager with Sosland Publishing from 1997 to 2000, an associate publisher with BNP Media between 2000 and 2009, and the co-founder and sales director of CT Media Partners, a firm he helped launch in 2009.
Through a broad network of high-ranking military personnel as hosts, Mr. Chapa's initial effort to support military personnel was forged. He has since thrived on the individual stories of progress and transition that FISH has helped facilitate through local and regional meals support and access to other critical wellness resources. Mr. Chapa is especially proud of the Christmas drive, which presents 30 to 35 servicemembers' and veterans' families with retail gift cards annually.
Mr. Chapa has humbly accepted various accolades in recognition of his efforts, including awards from Sons of the American Revolution and Daughters of the American Revolution. In 2013, he was honored with a FAME Award from Folio, and in 2019, Governor Andy Bashear named Mr. Chapa a Kentucky Colonel. Additionally, the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation commemorated Mr. Chapa with its Semper Fidelis Award in 2013.
Mr. Chapa cites making a difference and prompting others to follow suit as his most notable achievements thus far. Moreover, he is gratified to in various ways honor his own family members, including his younger brother, who have served in a branch of the U.S. military. He attributes the success of FISH to tenacity and the support and encouragement of his wife, and looking toward the future, Mr. Chapa aims to extend his reach by installing FISH resource hubs in additional communities, thereby assisting a broader population of American heroes.
