CINCINNATI, OH, October 12, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James Louis Besier has been included in Marquis Who's Who. Since the start of his education and career, Mr. Besier consistently held a position in pharmacy while also teaching. In 1977, he earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati and pursued registration through the university's James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy to become a licensed pharmacist in the state of Ohio. Soon after, he worked as a staff pharmacist at the Children's Hospital Medical Center until 1989. In 1985, Mr. Besier returned to his alma mater for a master's degree while working at the university's hospital as a pharmacy manager, a role he occupied for six years.
From Cincinnati, Mr. Besier moved to Kentucky, becoming a licensed pharmacist in the state, and served as the assistant director of pharmacy at St. Luke's Hospitals from 1997 to 2004. During the latter part of that time, he was on the advisory council at the Gateway Community & Technical College. For a decade, from 1994 to 2004, Mr. Besier held several positions through which he educated others: he was a speaker for Glaxo in Triangle Park and a lecturer for the College of Nursing as well as an adjunct assistant professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Cincinnati. In 2004, Mr. Besier completed his doctorate at Union Institute & University and returned the Health Alliance of Greater Cincinnati as an administrator in the bar code medication administration sector before taking on the role of director of the health alliance pharmacy residency program until 2010. After completing his doctorate, he returned to his alma mater, to the College of Nursing, as an adjunct associate professor, where he stayed until 2013.
Alongside his career and time in the classroom as an instructor, Mr. Besier contributed to several articles and professional journals and devoted his time to the Junior Achievement as a business education consultant from 1995 to 1999. As a result of his positions and accreditations, he is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Most notably, Mr. Besier has been featured in numerous editions of Who's Who in America, Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare, Who's Who in Science and Engineering, and Who's Who in the World. Currently, he is focused on teaching and sharing his experience with the next generation.
