Before embarking on his current journey, he honed his educational and research skills as a graduate teaching assistant and molecular laboratory technologist for L&H Scientific. Similarly, Mr. Davis participated in the Kennedy Krieger Institute's Dr. James A. Ferguson RISE Fellowship Program, where he partnered with such institutions as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Morehouse School of Medicine, and the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University.
During the early stages of his career, Mr. Davis evaluated hospital-acquired infections by conducting root cause analysis as a Tarrant County Public Health epidemiologist and is a 12-year US Army veteran, having served in both combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Outside his work, he contributes to his community as a Walter Reed Army Institute of Research ( WRAIR) CAB member and a collaborative campaign coordinator for Dragonfly Mental Health. Likewise, Mr. Davis is affiliated with the International Association of Professional Business Consultants, Women in Cell Biology, the American Society of Cell Biology, and many more.
An expert in his field, Mr. Davis holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology with a minor in chemistry from the University of North Texas at Dallas. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge, earning certifications from the Stanford University School of Medicine, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Driven to remain abreast of industry changes, he is pursuing a PhD. In light of his professional achievements, Mr. Davis won the Edith Hambie and W. Ruth Excellence in Public Health Award from the Kennedy Krieger Institute and has been included in TriBeta, Mu Alpha Theta, and Sigma Alpha Pi.
While his career has been filled with many standout moments, Mr. Davis takes the most pride in traveling to Ghana to learn about public health issues outside the U.S. The cornerstone of his success lies in his faith in what he does and his desire to give back to his community. Looking toward the future, Mr. Davis intends to obtain a director position with the CDC and complete his doctoral degree in molecular virology and molecular diagnostics at Howard University.
