Drawing on years of professional expertise in music, event coordinating and business, Dr. Allen presently excels as the founder and chief executive officer of C. Allen Productions Unlimited, Inc. Since 2001, she has organized a wide range of events and concerts and donated some of the proceeds to local nonprofit organizations. Over the years, she also gained valuable expertise as a writer for Jamsource Runway Magazine. Due to her outstanding body of work in 2021 she received an Honorary Doctorate in Humanity and a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Volunteer Service Award from Leaders Esteem Christian Bible University.
In conjunction with her work, Dr. Allen serves on the board of several nonprofit organizations that provide assistance and resources for women and children of domestic violence, scholarships to students with disabilities and STEM girl programs that provide mentorship and scholarships to girls. Driven to remain abreast of ongoing changes in the community Dr. Allen is affiliated with the local Chamber of Commerce and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
Throughout her career, she has received many awards for her community service and additionally has received recognition from the Mayor, State Representatives and Congressional Recognition. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in previously serving as the president of the Rose B. Johnson Colon Cancer Awareness Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides testing and screening, and stresses the importance of early detection. Dr. Allen intends to continue event planning and supporting worthy causes and nonprofit organizations.
