With more than two decades of excellence in accounting and finance, Dr. Norton has earned distinction as an accounting and finance professional, with exemplary levels of client relationship and stakeholder satisfaction. During his career, he has focused his efforts on budgeting and forecasting, domestic payroll, general ledger accounting, accounts receivable and payable and intercompany consolidations. He also has vast experience in managing BPO operations, both domestically and internationally, including manufacturing, maintenance and repair facilities for the aerospace and commercial industries. Prior to his current freelance career, Dr. Norton worked as an assistant operations manager for the Automotive Investment Group in 1989 and became a controller with Geesey Imports in 1998. He continued his career as an operations manager for Pinnacle Automotive of the Automotive Investment Group Company in 2000. Following this time, he took a role as a professor for DeVry University in 2013 and served as the director of accounting for Conduent from 2005 through 2018. He subsequently functioned as the regional manager and senior financial operations analyst for Tempur Sealy International from 2018 until 2022.
To prepare for his professional journey, Dr. Norton earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Western International University in 2005. Following this achievement, he attained a Master of Business Administration in the same field of study from Grand Canyon University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Accounting from Capella University in 2013.
During 2022 he experienced a double organ transplant and is excited to be moving forward. In the future, Dr. Norton intends to continue his freelance work while reconnecting with his network to explore new opportunities. He also may return to his role as an adjunct professor, teaching courses in all areas of accounting, finance, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, personal finance and computer systems.
