Leveraging more than three decades of excellence in healthcare as a combat medical specialist, Mr. Moreno has earned distinction as a Joint Operational Medicine Information System (JOMIS) AIDE MedCOP trainer with ITT Support Solutions Limited. Since 2023, he has focused his efforts on training professionals on the various health information technology capabilities of the JOMIS program, enabling them to deploy health care delivery, patient movement, medical command and control and medical logistics operations nationally and internationally.
Before his present role, Mr. Moreno served honorably with the United States Army as a first sergeant for the McDonald Army Community Hospital at Fort Eustis in 2006 and was a first sergeant for the Warrior Transition Battalion in 2008. He continued his military service as a regional sergeant major for the Southern Regional Dental Command in 2012 and was a command sergeant major for the 1st Medical Brigade 61st Multifunctional Medical Battalion in 2015. He subsequently functioned as the chief operating officer for Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (now the Alexander T. Augusta Military Medical Center) from 2017 until 2020 and was the manager of clinic operation for Baylor Scott White Health in 2021.
While developing his career, Mr. Moreno earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration in Strategic Leadership from Trident University International in 2010 and 2014, respectively. Within the coming years, he intends to assist with the implementation of JOMIS across the Department of Defense.
He volunteers with Therapy Dog International, The American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, and multiple veteran organizations.
