With more than 20 years of practiced experience in yoga, Ms. Serraro has achieved professional success as the owner of Baptiste Power Yoga Groton, a southeastern Connecticut yoga studio offering heated power yoga, restorative yoga, meditation, private and corporate yoga training, and more. Since embarking on her yoga teaching career full-time in 2010, she has facilitated regional and international programs for the Northeast Collaborative and the Baptiste Institute and has led workshops such as the Unstoppable for Youth Training for School Educators and First Responders. A leader within her field, Ms. Serraro has had the honor of being trained intensively by numerous master yoga teachers; as a result, she has earned a level of accreditation and distinction held by fewer than 250 people worldwide. Her impressive list of credentials includes being recognized as a 1200 hour Certified Baptiste Yoga Influencer, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider and E-RYT 500 Certified Educator. Ms. Serraro graduated from Robert E. Fitch Senior High School and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Alfred University where she specialized in ceramic sculpture.
Though her professional journey has been filled with memorable moments, Ms. Serraro considers her most notable achievement to be a personal one: the privilege of raising her two daughters. Today, she delights in spending time with her wonderful daughters, working with students in schools, and fundraising for numerous charitable causes. She credits the dedicated practice of yoga and meditation; as well as the support of the yoga community for all her success to date and to come.
