Ms. Cook has been active in the health care sector for over 15 years. She began her career as a charge nurse in telemetry at Bethesda Hospital in 2007. She subsequently worked for the Cincinnati Eye Institute from 2008 to 2018, where she rose from an operating room circulator of pre-op in the post-anesthesia care unit to the assistant director of nursing. Ms. Cook also garnered expertise as an administrator for the Dayton Eye Surgery Center and Valley Eye Institute between 2018 and 2021. Under her leadership, the facility became distinguished as the 12th-best ASC in Ohio by Newsweek in 2022, highlighting the exceptional level of care and dedication that she brought to her position. Additionally, Ms. Cook held positions with BEST Surgery and Therapies as a director of nursing and EyeCare Partners as an ASC executive director.
A Southern New Hampshire University graduate, Ms. Cook received a Bachelor of Business Administration in health care administration and management. She previously earned an Associate of Applied Science in nursing from Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Ms. Cook has also garnered credentials as a registered nurse, and received designation as a certified administrator surgery center (CASC) through the Board of Ambulatory Surgery Certification. Moreover, she received lean six sigma white belt certification through the Six Sigma Global Institute.
