In light of her professional achievements, she has been honored many times, earning the Outstanding Writer Award from the Globe Newspaper. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in her humanitarian work. She credits her success to Chelena C. Ms. Aldrich is descended from the Donati family from Florence, Italy, and she is the last living female Donati. Ms. Aldrich's cousin, Gemma Donati, married Dante Alighieri, the renowned author of "The Divine Comedy" and "Inferno." Ms. Aldrich is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish.
Looking forward, Ms. Aldrich intends to retire and teach communication and journalism to the next generation. Additionally, she will keep open the possibility of returning to school for a Juris Doctorate degree.
