He also excelled at the rank of senior director of predictive analytics with Dun & Bradstreet between 2012 and 2014 and accepted an exciting appointment as a senior manager, advanced analytics for MarketTools Inc., where he prospered from 2010 through 2012. Prior to that distinct position, Dr. Qazaz led the analytic solutions department at StatSoft from 2001 to 2009. Among his most notable achievements was the design of an enterprise level software known as STATISTICA Automated Neural Networks which is still in production and was based on his PhD thesis including the QAZAZ method.
Impressive scholarly and academic credentials have proven foundational to Dr. Qazaz's professional advancement. From 1993 to 1996, Dr. Qazaz was one of the pioneering researchers in artificial neural networks. Notably, he was named a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Aston University in 1996, just after completing a PhD in Bayesian statistics. He earned a Master of Science in Nuclear Physics at the University of London in 1991, and Dr. Qazaz also holds a bachelor's degree in physics. While residing in the United Kingdom, Dr. Qazaz served at British Telecom from 1997 to 2001 as a research scientist where he worked on the design of BT's Intelligent Network Platforms while also representing British Telecom and the United Kingdom at the International Telecommunications Union (an organization of the United Nations).
Dr. Qazaz has contributed significantly to progressing the existing literature through his steadfast work as a reviewer of industry texts such as Chris Bishop's "Neural Networks for Patent Recognition" and Richard Podolovsky's "Clinical Application of Neural Networks." Dr. Qazaz has also been granted numerous accolades, including a scholarship in support of doctoral studies bestowed upon him by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (United Kingdom).
The important work he oversaw while with Conduent is cited by Dr. Qazaz as a career highlight. The firm held contracts with state level transportation departments, where in his executive role he directed the crafting of fully automated tolling systems using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies. Dr. Qazaz remains humbled and proud of his team's advancements even in the face of considerable challenges related to the complexity and enormity of the project parameters. Additional roles at Conduent included director of intellectual property and university relationship management.
