Dr. Chrisman possesses more than 45 years of relevant expertise in his field. He notably served as a senior scientist and analytical consultant for MATRIC Europa in Italy and as a scientific director of pharmaceutical operation at Atochemis in Italy between 2010 and 2012, and as the president and chief scientist at Atodyne Technologies LLC in Midland from 2004 to 2010. Dr. Chrisman spent most of his career with Dow Chemical in Midland between 1977 and 2004 in various progressive roles, including as a technology manager, managing a large group of 50-70 technical professionals involved with surface analysis, microscopy, mass spec, NMR, optical spectroscopy, and chromatography. During his tenure, he was also instrumental in the organization being honored with the designation of the Laboratory of the Year after overseeing the construction of its new, 110,000-square-foot laboratory building.
During his prominent career, Dr. Chrisman has also served as an affiliate professor and visiting scholar in the forestry department at the University of Washington and as a visiting scholar in the Center for Process Analysis and Control at the University of Washington. He also chaired the advisory committee for Purdue University's chemistry department. Moreover, Dr. Chrisman has presented at professional meetings and conferences locally and abroad including various countries in Europe, discussing such topics as the circular bioeconomy.

Dr. Chrisman received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry from Manchester College (now Manchester University) in 1969, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy in inorganic chemistry from Purdue University in 1976. He was recognized for his hard work with a Distinguished Science Alumnus Award from Purdue University in 2006. Dr. Chrisman recognizes several notable mentors, particularly his former chemistry professor, for his inspiration.
