For over 25 years, he has provided clients with practical solutions to help their businesses thrive. Serving various industries from start-ups to Fortune 500 corporations, Mr. Baggett and his team of experts specialize in automatic identification systems, connectivity, integration, and software challenges, which they then implement and support.
Having spent a decade in the field before establishing himself as an entrepreneur, Mr. Baggett started his career at a form and label company upon graduation from college. This was when manufacturers of monitors and personal computers first began using bar code serial numbers of their products. After a few years, he joined Intermec, one of the largest manufactures of bar code hardware in America as a territory sales representative. He was later recruited by USData, one of the largest barcode equipment resellers in the U.S. as the Northern California Sales Representative. Six months later he was promoted to the Western Region Sales Manager, with responsibility for seven states. Five years later, Mr. Baggett established RedLine Solutions, Inc. in 1997 leveraging his expertise in barcode and RFID technologies.
Mr. Baggett authored Produce Traceability for Dummies via Wiley Publishing in 2014. He is on the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) Leadership Council where he has co-chaired the Technology Working Group for the past 12 years. Of all his achievements, however, Mr. Baggett noted that he has received the most personal satisfaction from improving workflows and improving the competitiveness of North American grower/shipping companies by creating unique produce software products. Looking to the future, he aspires to build out RedLine's MyProduce™ Professional software offering to become the most used, sought-after operational produce software in the industry.
Mr. Baggett graduated with honors from California State University Chico (CSUC) with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in marketing, and a minor in economics in 1986. While a student at CSUC he secured the David W. Phelps Memorial Scholarship as well as a Business Leader Award. Mr. Baggett also received CSUC's certification in Collective Bargaining.
Mr. Baggett's company, RedLine Solutions, Inc., received a Produce Traceability Company of the Year for North America Award from Frost and Sullivan in 2014. Remaining relevant in his industry, Mr. Baggett is a member of the International Fresh Produce Association and the Canadian Produce Marketing Association. He is also affiliated with Vistage Worldwide.
Mr. Baggett credits his faith for helping him become successful. He draws inspiration from helping others and is constantly motivated to help produce growers, packers, and distributors become more competitive through technology.
