Prior to her current role, Ms. Titus started her nursing career working on an oncology floor in a hospital, then transitioned to a hospice case manager. After six years she became a Clinical Director, then a Regional QAPI Coordinator. She then transitioned back to being a Clinical Director for Affinity Care.
To prepare for her nursing career, she earned an associate's degree in nursing, and holds a certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse.
Ms. Titus was inspired to become a nurse after her grandmother passed away from breast cancer. Ms. Titus saw firsthand the importance of hospice and palliative care. She also cared for her own mother who was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2021. She donates to Penn Medicine Hospital regularly in her mother's honor. Looking to the future, she intends to return to school to pursue a master's degree, enabling her to continue working in hospice and palliative care. Her next goal is to teach and mentor new hospice nurses that want to take the certification test.
