Leveraging more than 50 years of professional success in his consulting business, Mr. Shah formerly worked for Jacob Engineering from 1999 to 2013 and Breed Technologies Inc. between 1994 and 1999. Among other organizations, he garnered expertise as a senior mechanical engineer for Reynolds, Smith and Hills, Watson & Company, and Davy McKee Corporation. During an earlier stage of his career, he held positions with Tampa Bay Engineering Company and FMC Corporation.
Throughout his long and successful career, Mr. Shah recalls one notable project in Saint Petersburg, Florida. This massive undertaking included constructing a 40-story high-rise office complex, which later became a foundation model for many similar projects. Educated at Tuskegee Institute, Mr. Shah garnered a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1971. Continuing his studies, he received a Master of Science from the University of South Florida in 1978. Well-qualified in his industry, Mr. Shah received credentials as a registered professional engineer in Tennessee and Florida.
As a testament to his commitment to the industry, Mr. Shah has been active as a member of the Florida Engineering Society, the National Society of Professional Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association, and the India Association of Lakeland. He is also recognized as a life member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and as a member, former vice president, and president of the Ridge chapter of the Florida Engineering Society.
Mr. Shah's success resulted from several impactful mentors he was blessed to work alongside and other industry professionals he had collaborated with in the field. His most influential mentor, he noted, was William Stirren, the engineering manager from Jacob Engineering, who recruited Mr. Shah for his position and provided him with invaluable guidance and support.
