During Mr. Cronin's 35-year professional career, he worked for numerous steel and wire companies and earned progressive roles as a leader in the industry. While still in college, he secured a position with Bethlehem Steel Corporation. He subsequently became a general sales manager and vice president at Davis Walker Corporation. Mr. Cronin also had the opportunity to work for Georgetown Wire Company as both the chief operating officer and president. Additionally, he served in various positions at A Heico Wire Group Company and Industrial Wire Products Corporation.
Garnering expertise in profit and loss, business development, sales and marketing, operations, and general management in the industrial manufacturing sector, Mr. Cronin attributes his success to his competitive nature. He also admired several family members who found tremendous success in their professions, including his grandfather and uncle, who both served as vice presidents at General Motors, and his father, a former vice president and general manager at Frigidaire Sales Corporation.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Cronin plans to have one of his four children manage both companies. He also hopes to see his steel representative business continue to succeed with the assistance of his business partner.
Through his community, Mr. Cronin was active as a director of the University of Oregon Alumni Association for the state of Washington. He has also been recognized for his contributions as a civil service commissioner for the City of Clyde Hill, Washington. Mr. Cronin previously served on the visitors board at Claremont Graduate University, through which he mentored two students each year and provided them with career advice. He was also an advisor for the president, advisory board member, and fundraiser for the university's Drucker School of Management.
Mr. Cronin obtained a Bachelor of Science in marketing and psychology from the University of Oregon in 1968. He also completed coursework with a specialization in sales management from the University of California Los Angeles. Mr. Cronin remains aware of developments in his field as a member of the Wire Association International, and Fastener Technology International, and as a member and past president of the American Wire Producers Association. Moreover, he is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.
He truly believes his biggest success is his 47-year marriage and lovely four children and seven grandchildren.
