Before joining GC LabTech Inc., Mr. Clark was the Director of Donor Services for the South Texas Blood & Tissue Center from 2013 to 2016. He also served as Baptist Health System's Regional Blood Bank Manager between 2012 and 2013. Mr. Clark credits his ongoing success to his experience working at every level within organizations and his military background for making him more well-rounded. He also notes the significance of hiring a great team at GCLT, all capable of supporting the company's goals and having the knowledge and resources to remain competitive in the field.
Mr. Clark honorably served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1993 to 2012. Becoming a commissioned officer, he served as a biomedical laboratory officer and scientist within its Biomedical Sciences Corps. He also garnered significant laboratory training and expertise in microbiology and other areas of the field and received special training in biological warfare detection. Mr. Clark twice toured the Middle East, once during peace-time and once during war-time.
Possessing an extensive educational background, Mr. Clark earned an Associate Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science and Medical Laboratory Technology from the Community College of the Air Force in 2000, a Bachelor's Degree from Wayland Baptist University in 2004, and a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Arts in Human Resources Management from Webster University in 2007 and 2014, respectively. He also received certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as a Clinical/Medical Laboratory Scientist. Mr. Clark is pursuing a Doctorate in Management from Wayland Baptist University.
Mr. Clark remains abreast of changes in the field through his affiliation with the ASCP and the Association for the Advancement of Blood and Biotherapies (formerly the American Association of Blood Banks). In light of his accomplishments, his organization was recognized for Best Laboratory in San Antonio in 2022 and 2023 along with an Outstanding Leadership Award at the Health 2.0 Conference in 2022. Mr. Clark credits his success to taking an unorthodox approach to conducting business and not being afraid to disrupt the paradigm. He also notes the tremendous support of his family, particularly throughout his years in the military.
